Say Hello to Penny!

She is a petite girl at about 35lbs. Her foster mom calls her a warrior. She was on last call at the shelter when New Start committed to taking her in. A couple days later she came down with a deadly virus, surviving it and beating all odds. Penny is meant to be on this earth and she let us know! If you’re looking for your best friend that would love to go on adventures with you, she’s your girl. Penny loves car rides and being active too.

Penny loves other dogs, kids, adults and is generally an all around happy dog. She is crate trained and is housebroken. She loves going for walks or hanging out in a fenced in yard. Penny would do well in a home with other dogs or as an only dog. Her favorites include chewing bones, playing tug with her foster brothers, playing with toys and being near her humans and foster brothers.

Upon arriving to our rescue she was very scared of everything outside. She was found as a stray and this could be why as she struggled to survive on her own. She was very underweight, another indication that she was fending for herself. Penny has put on some weight and is no longer fearful of everything.

Penny is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to visit her will be set up for approved adopters only. Her adoption fee is $300 which includes all age appropriate vaccines. She is spayed and microchipped. She is also up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventatives as well as Heartworm negative.
