IN FOSTER - NEEDS ADOPTER - Ava is a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, and is around 55lbs. Ava is one of the longest residents in our rescue and we just CANNOT understand why!!
Ava came into our rescue last summer at as an outdoor only backyard breeder chained up Mama. Her puppies were adopted RIGHT AWAY but it seems it’s always the Mamas that are long left behind still looking for their families
Here is what her amazing foster Mom has to say about Ava
She is:
A total love bug
Potty Trained
Crate Trained
Loves Kids (5+ as she has a strong tail when she wiggles and loves to lick)
Loves Walks
Loves Firemen
Loves anything paper
Loves Dogs (when properly introduced)
Has completed basic obedience training from @aupairforpaws
Ava is so sweet!! She is potty trained. She does wonderfully in her crate both at night and when I leave the house. She also does great when having free roam of the house. She did really well when my nephews came over to visit (ages 4 & 7). She accepted pats and treats from them very gently. She would probably sleep in your bed no problem. A funny quirk she LOVES paper- toilet paper, paper towels, wrapping paper - you name it - doesn’t eat it just loves to shred it. She has never shown any type of aggression and is a love bug. She does well on a leash and loves a long walk! She also does well with most other dogs when properly introduced. She has never been tested with cats but I would say cats are a no. She is a strong lady (and sometimes stubborn) but she sits and lays down for treats! She identifies as a lap dog. She has also completed basic training with Aupair for Paws! Overall she is a lovely, sweet girl who will make a great companion and adventure buddy!
Ava is UTD on vaccines, preventatives, is spayed, and is completely ready for her forever home.
