My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

2 1/2 year old Vonnie was meant to be part of a breeding program, but she was never able to become pregnant and so was sent to rescue. Vonnie has never been abused, but has not enjoyed being part of a human family circle, and needs to learn just how good being a golden retriever girl can be, She is exceptionally shy and cautious with people, but loves other dogs, and we would like to see her in a home with at least one other easy going dog to help her adjust. She is spayed, UTD on core vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative, treated for fleas (Bravecto), wormed, soon to be groomed, crate trained, and so, so sweet. We may also consider a foster to adopt home for Vonnie on a case by case basis. To either adopt, or foster to adopt, please submit an application which you can find on our website (www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org). Please READ the cover page. Due to Vonnie's limited social skills we will not place her in a home with very young children.
