Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! Bree is a 1-year-old husky mix. She is one of the most loving dogs we’ve ever had. She’s never met a stranger and will come to anyone for attention. She loves to give kisses and will lick just about anything. She’s definitely still got puppy energy and will zoom around everywhere! That being said, she can also be very calm and sweet at times. She loves to cuddle in bed and to come sit next to you on the couch. She really just loves touch and being around her people. She plays great with other dogs; she’s very playful in general and will want to play with you too. When she wants to play she can be very adamant; she will do cute little ruffs and barks to get our attention if we aren’t prioritizing her. Bree is great with kids too. Her energy can overwhelm some children, but she would never do anything to hurt anyone. We nicknamed her our “love baby” because she was born in February and she is so sweet and loving.
We haven’t leashed her much, but she seems to do pretty well on one. Bree does have some separation anxiety; she whines a lot when by herself and will chew on things if left out. We have to kennel her when we leave the home so she will not chew on things in the house. She is still really young, so we think she might grow out of that, but she loves something hard to chew on. Also, she is a fence jumper, so I’d recommend a tall fence if you want to let her outside without a leash. We currently have a 4-foot chain fence; she was constantly jumping it, so now we put her on a lead when we take her out.
Some other random tidbits about Bree. She loves chasing after bugs and eating them. She hates the rain and will pretty much refuse to go outside if it’s raining. She hasn’t peed in the house a lot, but we also don’t have a very large house for her to roam. She seems only to do it when unattended, but it hasn’t been a big issue for her. She’s eaten any food we’ve given her and she chows down!
Bree needs someone who can play with her and exercise her so she can burn off some puppy steam and get her on a routine. She does have some true husky habits such as jumping short fences, some separation anxiety, and talking to get your attention. All in all, she is a great little girl!
She is spayed, current on vaccines and preventions and microchipped. For more information, please email adopt@mushrescue.com or complete an application.
