My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smokey Joe was found on the side of the road, mostly dead, with maggots all over him. He had a wound on the underside of his tail, was dehydrated and starving. He was picked up by someone I know and now he is doing very well.
Smokey Joe will be available soon and we are accepting applications for him now. He will be neutered either before he is adopted or soon after according to Adoption Contract.
Safe Dogs By The River does not adopt cats to homes that will declaw. There are many solutions to clawing issues, including but not limited to, nail trims, cat scratchers/furniture, Soft Paws and basic training. We will adopt to indoor/outdoor homes as long as the home is not on a a busy road. Otherwise we adopt out indoor only cats.
