My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby was found wandering around a very busy road. She is SO sweet. She is eager to please and learned to sit in mere moments. She loves people and likes to play with other dogs. She is learning her basic manners and is being crate trained.
Ruby is about 12-16 months old and beautiful. She will be spayed this week and started on her heartworm prevention. She is up to date on her vaccines.
Safe Dogs By The River does not adopt dogs to outdoor only homes, nor do we endorse this practice. We believe a dog is a family member and should live indoors with they're humans. Indoor dogs make better watch dogs, are better able to alert to intruders and are capable of actually doing something heroic in the face of an emergency.
All companions from Safe Dogs By The River have an adoption fee. If we did not have these fees, we would not be able to help the next animal that comes along. Please help us to continue helping the animals we have in our care.
