My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This lovable misfit of a boy deserves a happy-ever-after!!

Tywin was born a stray, with neighborhood people caring for him. But the people lost their home when the whole neighborhood was demolished by the city, and then Tywin lost his home AND the people he knew.

Despite living his whole life outdoors until now, you’d never know it! He’s a well-mannered kitty who absolutely loves affection and will come up to you to nuzzle and lick you. He's very polite, willing to sit at the other end of the couch and wait until you're ready, but give him the signal and he'll come in close, purring loudly, then lean against you and settle in contentedly. Tywin likes to be in the room where you are.

Tywin does have some scaring from his previous life outside, and all of his teeth had to be removed due to a massive infection from abuse. His fangs were all snapped off at the jawline! Because of all the scary things he went through earlier in life, commotion and loud noises will still send him under the bed or sofa for a little bit, but this sweet boy is finally learning it's safe.

This sweetie is a friendly boy who enjoys scratches and pets. Please note, he is NOT a fan of dogs that get excited... They are scary and make him nervous and upset. He does get along with his foster’s free range rabbit without issue though!

This sweet boy truly deserves a happily-ever-after!

Included with the adoption is his neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty!

To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!

Additional adoption info

Adoption requirements include an application that tells us something about the adoptive family and authorizes us to contact the family's vet for references, a phone or in-person interview, and at the director's discretion, home visitation. We provide an adoption contract that lists the animal's current and anticipated health care and delineates the owner's and our responsibilities. Each kitten has a 2-week satisfaction guarantee which provides a full refund for animals returned within the 2-week time frame. Our typical adoption fees are $200 per Siamese Wannabe and $250 per Siamese mixes and Siamese and some others.

More about this rescue

We are a small, grass-roots volunteer effort dedicated to easing the problems faced by unwanted Siamese cats and kittens and their non-Siamese cousins. We use foster homes for our animals to provide them with a warm and loving environment from which to be adopted; we give all of our animals excellent vet care to ensure they have a good start in life. We offer education and advice on cat care and cat behavior issues; we provide courtesy listings for adoptable pets for free on our web site. We provide support to indigent owners (emergency food and vet care assistance) as we are able and offer advice and assistance on resolving landlord pet issues (including ADA therapy pet designation). We are dedicated to making life easier for the animals who love and trust us and look to us for their safety, security, and happiness. The problems are large and we are small but we try hard to make a difference for cats at risk.
