Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
We don’t want to “Gild the Lily”, but we think our little Lilly is pretty darn fabulous! Lilly the Westie found her way to Wag N Train after being released from the commercial dog breeding industry. Her baby-making days are over and she is ready to live out the best rest of her life as a pet. Lilly is four years old, and loves toys, going on walks, and snuggling on the couch with her foster ma. She is the sweetest pup and she really loves the pet life!
Due to her past, Lilly is slow to warm up to other people and dogs, but with proper introductions, she enjoys meeting new friends. She prefers women but tolerates men. She will realize they are equally snuggleable with time, patience, and maybe a few treats from a sweet man. While she doesn’t have foster dog siblings, her foster ma feels she may be okay with other similarly sized dogs with easy-going personalities. She does live with two cats and does fine with them. As for human siblings, older dog-savvy kiddos are preferred.
Lilly is spayed, has had her teeth cleaned, and is up to date on vaccinations. She is kennel trained, walks well on a leash, and is nearly there with potty training. With time and routine, Lilly is sure to find success in the yard rather than the house. Speaking of the yard, a securely fenced yard is required for Lilly as she takes her squirrel patrol duties very seriously and would like to secure the perimeter at her new home as well.
Lilly is ready to be your girl and if you think she is the one for you, apply today!
The suggested adoption donation for Lilly is a minimum of $700 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
