My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Manteo! ??

This pretty girl is thriving in a foster home, showcasing her incredible adaptability and intelligence. Manteo is not just friendly with other dogs; she has a natural knack for fitting in with those who enjoy a rough-and-tumble play style. If you're considering adding Manteo to your fur family, we require a meet-and-greet to ensure everyone gets along perfectly.

Manteo's smarts shine through in her training. She's mastered commands like "sit," "lay down," and "look pretty," which she does with an effortless grace that's hard to ignore. Her ability to learn and respond to commands speaks volumes about her intelligence and eagerness to please.

In addition to her impressive skills, Manteo is fully house-trained and handles crate time with ease. She's a well-rounded companion who's ready to bring fun and tranquility to her new home.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
