SPECIAL NEEDS. Please read carefully!

Oakley is a 28-lb, approx 6 year-old male Corgi. He is such a handsome man who loves belly rubs and playing fetch! He is house-trained and crate-trained. His crate is his safe space where he sleeps at night, hides from thunderstorms and just takes periodic breaks from busy days.

Oakley is accustomed to a doggy door and someone home most of the day. He spends his day alternating between running around outside then taking a nap near his human inside. He is leash reactive toward other dogs so a secure fenced yard is REQUIRED. He will try to escape a loose gate or any openings. Oakley loves running around the yard with his doggy foster brother and can have doggy siblings; he will just need slow introductions and he will resource guard his fetch ball. He’d love an experienced human who can continue to work on positive redirection when he sees other dogs on leash. He would also do well as an only dog. He’s fine with dog savvy cats. Respectful kids 10+ should be ok.

MEDICAL NEEDS
Oakley has dry eye in his right eye which was left untreated too long and he may one day be a one-eyed corgi. His new owner will need to continue his current eye drop regimen 4 times a day and attend his monthly appointments.
