Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fred is a talkative, somewhat active, senior guy. He loves to let you know when he’s ready for dinner or treats with a low growl and occasional bark. (His tail is wagging the whole time letting you know he’s in a playful mood!) Although he has some heart issues, he’s doing well with his specific food (Royal Canin for Cardiac Health) and daily pills. He gets along great with the resident female boxer (9 y.o.) who can be a bit high maintenance.
Fred enjoys chasing the occasional ball or playing with chew toys, but is mostly content lounging and napping near his humans. He does pretty well when left in the house for a couple of hours. He has many toys to choose from which he will occasionally play with, but doesn’t prefer that if he’s alone for an extended period.
Fred would do well in most environments. He’s a fun loving guy up for most adventures, just not very long ones. He gets excited for his daily walk (about 30 mins) and then enjoys a day a typical day of napping, snacking, and rolling in the yard. Although he hasn’t been tested with kids, I think he would do well in an active household with or without kids. Fred lives with a 9 year old female boxer but he will need slow introductions with new dogs.
