Name: Ruth
Breed: Pitbull
Sex: Female
Approx. DOB: 3/19/20
Weight: 48 lbs
Location: Stone Mountain, GA
RESCUING RUTH…
Ruth was found after being hit by a car which ended up being a broken hip and pelvis. We scooped her up quickly and rushed her to the surgeon. She received her FREEDOM RIDE on 3/22/23.
ABOUT RUTH…
Poor girl starting her life as injured, Ruth has recovered after several months and is ready for her new home! She is a young girl who has the rest of her life ahead of her! She is crate trained and house-trained, and she sleeps peacefully in her crate at night. Ruth has a fetish with shoes and loves them more than any chew toy she has ever seen, so keeping her locked up when the family is not home is a must. Also, her foster family works with her to know “leave it” when she possesses something she does not want anyone to have. They said she has gotten better at letting them take it from her. She loves her humans and loves to play with dogs, especially being dominant with them. She would do great in a home with a submissive dog or by herself. Ruth did not show much interest in cats when she was around them and realized they did not want to be friends with her. Her foster family says she is a “stop and smell the roses” girl. She will take her time sniffing the yard before she uses the bathroom. She would love to have a family who can take her exploring places regularly and in return give the best kisses! We recommend a family with older, considerate children who can continue training along with their parents. On a side note, her DNA testing came back as 44% American Pit Bull Terrier, 32% American Staffordshire Terrier, 17% Bulldog, 3% American Bulldog, and 2% Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
ADOPTING RUTH…
Ruth will be spayed, updated on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. She is on monthly preventative. She is eating Stella & Chewy Essentials Meadow Recipe grain-free dry dog food. Her adoption fee is $300. If you want to meet or adopt Ruth, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.friendstotheforlorn.org/adoption-application.
