Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :)
Evrett is a adorable little guy, and he has the most beautiful, glistening coat, it just swishes as he prances through the yard. And do we really know what breed(s) he may be, a big resounding....NO! We have not done a DNA, we did use a app on our phone that takes a good guess at the breed based on the pics of the dog. So, for now we will go with that. If you are looking for a specific breed, well, we have ourselves a most handsomest of mutts here!
This funky little guy is guessed to be around 2 years old, I would wager to guess he is a bit younger. His teeth are pearly white as that of a pup, and he all of the goofy, spunky, awkward and sometimes inappropriate behaviors of a younger dog. Possibly that is because of the way he was raised, we are not sure. He came to us not potty trained, his family used potty pads in the house. We put him in our house training boot camp, lol. Lots of supervision, loads of outdoor time, and praise.
Evrett is a very social guy, loves to play with the other dogs and has a ball running around the yard exploring and rolling in the grass. He is an active guy, but he is not loud or barky and he listens very well. Generally he is very social and playful. But...he has had a few episodes where he would chase one of the bigger dogs and nip at them. Fortunately , they did not take him seriously. But, for that reason he will do well with a dog savvy home, and some puppy training classes should be in his future. Evrett needs to learn how to interact with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He has been fine with out littles, and even senior dogs, and for the most part fine with the bigs. BUT--his adoptive family will need to guide him with appropriate interaction with all dogs. He is young and immature, and these are things he will learn quickly.
We are looking for an active home for Evrett. He will no do well with long hours alone. He will be a great family companion, hiking partner, and will do well with another dog buddy as well. His adoption fee is $450. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
