My story

Hi, my name is Muffin! I'm a beautiful, fluffy tuxedo girl with piercing eyes that are always alert to everything happening around me.

I was found all alone in the bed of a pickup truck in New Mexico, so no one knows my past. Luckily, I was rescued and now live in a Colorado foster home where I am spoiled and get everything I could ever want! Because of my time alone, I'm still figuring out the whole living-with-humans thing so I like to be the one to set the tone in my interactions.

I'm very curious about all this new stuff, so I come right up to new people to give them the sniff test. If you have treats, a laser pointer, or a long string toy I'll be your instant BFF. After we've played for a bit, I'll let you know if it's okay to cuddle or pet me. Sometimes I get overstimulated and might nip or scratch. That only happens if I'm overwhelmed, and I give you pretty clear signs that I'm at my limit. As long as you respect that limit, we'll be just fine. To help keep me entertained, my foster parents have clicker-trained me! I’m very smart and humor them in order to get more treats!

I would be happy as a spoiled only-cat or with a cat sibling as long as you do a slow introduction so I can get to know them first. I have not been around dogs, but a more calm cat-friendly dog might be OK, too. I would not be ideal for younger kiddos.
