My name is Rusty (Neutered)!

Rusty is an adorable 4-year old male Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix who was brought to the HSOV on June 6, 2023 along with his companions (Jackie, Mighty Mouse, and Roxy.) after they were picked up by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden. Rusty and his companions were later surrendered by their owner.

Rusty has a gorgeous cream-colored long-haired coat with tan highlights, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with dark brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and large erect ears which are fringed with dark tan shading.

This handsome little man was apprehensive about his new surroundings when he first arrived at our shelter and found himself in a small kennel with so many other dogs around .. But within a few days, he had warmed up to our compassionate kennel techs after he realized that they were his new best friends.

We were thrilled to have an opportunity to take updated photos of Rusty on June 19th when HSOV Humane Officer Fredley Tynan spent time with him for outdoor photos. Rusty decided that he would rather sit in Fredley's lap (and peek around her to 'smile for the camera') than prance around in the green grass. And we had to admit that Rusty's strategy for cute poses was the right decision when we watched him work his magic and turn on the charm.

Rusty is a petite little guy who weighs 8.13 lbs.

Rusty was neutered on June 14, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine.
