My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.

Gigi is 1 1/2yo, weighs 11 lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, is microchipped, and is FeLV/FIV negative, as her veterinary records will substantiate.  Gigi would love to live indoors with a great family, as she's very affectionate and super sweet. Gigi even likes car rides !

Gigi's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:

"GiGi showed up at my house 1yr or so ago. I have 4 indoor cats who would prefer to be the only cat in the house as it is and I certainly cannot afford to take care of another cat, unfortunately and she certainly doesn't deserve to be left outside as she is a super sweet kitty!"

Gigi's guardian states the following regarding children:  Gigi's guardian doesn't know if she has lived with children, but recommends her living with children.

Gigi's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Gigi's guardian doesn't know if she has lived with dogs, but recommends her living with dogs, stating "I would think that with a patient introduction to dogs that Gigi would do great with them!"

Gigi's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Gigi' guardian doesn't know if she has lived with cats, but recommends her living with cats, stating -

"GiGi showed up as a stray/owner abandoned?  She desperately wants love and she even got into my cats fenced in area for some companionship but, my mean cat charged at her :-(  GiGi didn't scratch my cat but my cat got a few tuffs of fur from GiGi but nothing other than that. again with proper patient introduction I think she would do great!"

Gigi's guardian describes her as:

Couch potato
Playful
Friendly
Likes to be touched
Affectionate
Always at your side
House-Trained
Likes men
Likes women

Gigi's guardian describes her ideal future home:

"I wish for GiGi a furever home with someone with lots of love to give her! I think she would be an awesome companion for someone who can take her outside while they work in the garden, etc.."

More about this rescue

Rescue Well was founded by Christine Sandberg in Baltimore, Maryland in 2011. Since its launch, it’s grown from offering post-adoption support to the city shelter, to offering several programs across Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. Our Programs focus on improving the lives of both pets and its owners. We proudly serve without judgment or expectations and we strictly follow our Rescue Well Engagement Model: ENGAGE > EDUCATE > EMPOWER.

Our organization’s programs are run by volunteers who are actively engaged in front-line intervention, community support, shelter support, and re-homing services for all pets.
