Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hazel is petite shepherd cross of about 10 months. (We think younger) She is calm by nature and extremely sensitive. She is an incredibly sweet and affectionate puppy who is super smart and very trainable.
Hazel loves all people, especially kids.
She is house trained, crate trained, walks nicely on leash and travels well in the car. She knows:
Sit, Down, Wait, Look at me, Ok, Out
Get up here, No, Leave it, Crate
And she has great recall off leash
Being a puppy, Hazel still needs some guidance in regards to what things are appropriate to have in her mouth, but she takes corrections well and she is not overly destructive.
She is just a little nervous of big dogs. But once she realizes there is nothing to worry about, she is your typical fun loving puppy.
She is currently fostered with 2 dogs whom she absolutely loves, and although we haven’t tested her, we are confident she would be fine in a house with cats. She has been exposed to horses (on leash) and she was quiet and calm and not overly worried.
Hazel would be fine in a house with kids, and it would be a bonus if there was already a dog in the family to help build her confidence and show her the ropes, however this is not necessary. Since she is still a puppy she is ok being left alone for a few hours but needs a family that does not leave her for extended periods.
