Hello world! My name is Butler, and could I be any more handsome? Not possible!
I was found as a stray. In Arizona, the legal time to hold a dog and do your ‘due diligence’ to find the owner is 6 days. I have now been held for almost 2 weeks, and after many postings, flyers, and ads, no one has claimed me. All shelters were notified, no one has come forward.
I am between 2 and 3 years old, and have been a ‘model citizen’ in my foster home. I am a teeny tiny 45 lb male, with a big personality! My foster home says that my tail never stops wiggling.
I am a pretty active bulldog, so an active home will be the best for me. Someone who is not gone too long, and can commit a lot of time to making me the best bully I can be!
My new home will be required to take me to beginner training classes at Petsmart or Petco, so I can get super duper smart and become the genius I know I can be! I would really enjoy to learn new things. You can tell that my previous home didn't work with me at all.
I used to have a cherry eye on my eye, but that has been fixed now, along with my neuter. I will require daily eye drops for my eyes to keep them shining and bright!
I will only be adopted to a home where there are no kids, cats or dogs. I am doing well in my foster home where there are kids, cats AND dogs, but with rescue not knowing my full history, I will need to be placed as an only pet.
My foster mom has fallen in love with me! She will be the final say in who adopts me, because this time, my next home will be my forever home. I need humans who are dedicated to me, and I will give them all of my love in return! I will require time, patience and a home who knows this breed. I am very healthy, but should put on a few pounds. I am pretty thin right now. If you think that you are the one for me, please apply! If not, please look at some of my foster brothers and sisters and consider opening your heart and home to one of us.

*WHY ARE SOME DOG’S ADOPTION FEES HIGHER THAN OTHERS?
The adoption donation fees are based on age, health and needed vet care of the dogs we have taken in. The younger, healthier dogs help to pay for their cousins that need a little more TLC. You adoption donation fee also covers the cost of the spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip of your new dog.
*CAN WE COME SEE YOUR DOGS?
All of our dogs are in foster homes around the Phoenix area. We require an application to be filled out, a home check to be done, and vet reference check to be complete before having you come meet the dog of your dreams! We will ONLY contact you when we have a potential match.
*I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL DOGS WHO I THINK WOULD FIT MY HOME, BUT THEY ARE NOW ADOPTED. WHY?
We take a lot of time to get to know our dogs in rescue. Some are barkers, which cannot go into condos or apartments, some require companionship of other dogs, and some are not good with children. Each dog is unique!
*IS THERE A WAITING LIST OF APPROVED APPLICANTS?
YES! That is why even if you are not ready to adopt, get your application into us if you want to be considered for a future adoption.
*I AM LOOKING FOR A PUPPY OR VERY YOUNG BULLDOG.
Well, you have come to the wrong place. Rescue dogs on average are between 3 and 7 years old, we do not get puppies into rescue. We would, however, be able to refer you to a reputable breeder.
*BULLDOGS ARE SO EXPENSIVE! WHY?
If you are looking for a cheap bulldog by choosing rescue, need not apply! Rescue dogs are dogs that are going to need ongoing vet care, and a lot of love and training from their new humans. We only adopt to homes that truly want to RESCUE a homeless bulldog. This is not the place to find a “cheaper” bulldog.
