My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ricky is a 12-year-old red standard dachshund, who looks and acts much younger. He was surrendered to the rescue due to his owner's health issues. Ricky is super sweet and gentle, but he also has a great deal of personality. Ricky loves to play, and he gets along great with other dogs. He chases the cats in his foster home so we are looking for a cat-free home with a physical fence since Ricky is quite the explorer! In typical doxie fashion, Ricky takes his job as a 'shadow dog' of humans very seriously, and he is a wonderful companion. Ricky is fully house-trained and crate-trained. Ricky is also neutered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. He is currently being fostered in Indianapolis. His adoption fee was $200 but some awesome rescue supporters that know how great of a dog Ricky is are sponsoring half of the fee.
