Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi, I'm Nishi, a handsome black, 60-pound, pit bull/labrador mix. I am a one-year-old pup who weighs 60 pounds. I have playful energy and a big heart to match. I'm looking for my forever home with someone who can take me on adventures and cuddle me at the end of the day.
I do well with other dogs and may benefit best with a higher energy play buddy. I would also do great with a very active human buddy that can take me on walks, runs, hikes, etc. A home with older, teenage children is preferred as I can be a bit rambunctious. I wouldn’t want to knock down any small kiddos. Young and full of great energy, it is recommended that I go to someone with consistent and firm structure for me. I have not been cat tested but I can be if you’d like.
I'm also smart and eager to learn new things. I know how to sit, stay, and come, and I'm working on other commands too. I'm potty, crate and leash trained, so I'm ready to go wherever you want to take me. I'm neutered and vaccinated. I am heartworm positive but receiving treatment.
I am being fostered in Colonial Heights, VA but I can be transported out of state for the right home. If you're looking for a fun-loving and affectionate companion, I'm your guy. Fill out an application and my rescue will reach out to you. I can't wait to meet you!

Our Mission
Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition.
