My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHARLIE

POMONA, CA

Oh, Charlie! If you’re into those most-of-the-time-a-love and part-of-the-time-a-kraken chihuahuas, do we have a guy for you!

Charlie was rescued from a local shelter when his fear aggression made him ineligible for public adoption. We said yes to helping him and have been working with him since. Charlie needs a special adopter who understands how to gain and maintain the trust of a dog that’s been abused by the humans meant to love him. Here’s what Charlie’s foster has to say about him:

“Charlie is 1 to 2 years old. His teeth are pearly white. We’re working still on his potty training. He now loves my other foster, Josh, and they sleep together. His Olympic sport is chasing cats. He can effortlessly switch to wrestling and weighs in at 14 pounds, easily overtaking his smaller foster siblings and pinning them down. He’s normally quiet but only after you’ve told him to be a 100 times and he’s finally gotten laryngitis. He’s nimble and fast as lightning. This is his third sport! He excels in sprinting and grabbing the plastic baton from the mouths of his playmates as he sprints past them and they stare in astonishment.

He loves jumping into your lap and showering you with kisses. We thought about a kissing booth to raise money but realized that was silly because he would love all the women and terrorize the men, as his fourth Olympic sport is seeing how quickly men will run as he goes into ninja action on their shoes.

He’s sweet and needs a lot (A LOT!) of patience and understanding. He takes time to trust but once he does, he smiles from ear to ear and is a wiggle butt.”

Please, don’t all rush to apply at once!!

…jokes aside, we believe there’s a human out there for every dog, and we want to help Charlie find his. Please help us with that endeavor with your ‘likes,’ comments, and shares. We’re rooting for you, Charlie!
