Henry is a hound mix, only 1 years old and weighing 58 pounds.
This loveable hound is good with other dogs, cats and kids. Henry is shy and has to warm up to new people . Once he has that trust he turns into a goofball and plays. He is not a chaser but he does need a lot of exercise. On walks he gets excited to see other dogs since he wants to play. Living with another dog would be ideal for Henry. This boy is very easy going, a gentle companion who should have a fenced yard since hounds follow their noses and escape; we prefer a hound experienced household. His foster writes: "Henry is a very playful hound. He is a love mush but needs to be exercised. A little tense around food after being starved but has done so much better than when he first arrived." If you love the sweetness and closeness of hounds and can provide a secure active home, this hound is for you.
This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances and veterinarian exams.
