My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Primrose!

The affectionate 4-year-old Bull Terrier mix, weighing 62 lbs, ready to bring love and joy into your home!
Primrose is a sweet girl who, once settled, reveals her true nature as a big lapdog who loves to snuggle. Whether it's going for walks, playing with toys, or taking a cozy snooze on the couch, Primrose is up for it all!

Primrose shows potential to live with a canine companion in her forever home, as long as they are a good fit. She enjoys the company of other dogs and can adapt well to a multi-pet household with the right match.
If there are children in Primrose's forever home, she would do best with kids aged 10 years and older. Older children can provide the gentle and understanding environment she needs to thrive and feel secure.

If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion, Primrose is ready to snuggle her way into your heart and home. Her sweet and affectionate nature will make her a wonderful addition to any family.

Call 330-487-0333 ext 226 to arrange a meeting with Primrose and take the first step towards bringing this lovable lapdog into your life. Let's give Primrose the loving forever home she deserves! #AdoptPrimrose #LapdogLove

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.

We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.

Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter

Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
