Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whoever wrote the song “Brown Eyed Girl” must have had our Bailey Boo in mind, because this little girl has soft brown eyes that seem to peer right into your heart. Bailey is a sweet, affectionate collie who loves to snuggle and receive belly rubs, but isn’t clingy when her people are trying to do other things. If her foster mom is busy, Bailey is happy to simply look on and chew her Nylabone.
Bailey is a well behaved girl who can be trusted alone in the house for up to 8 hours. She is not crate trained, but can be confined to a room using a baby gate if so desired. She walks fairly well on a leash, though she pulls a bit and likes to wander about. She tolerates grooming well and knows a variety of commands including: “come,” “drop,” “leash,” “sit,” “outside,” and her very favorite, “car ride.” Bailey loves to ride in the car and when she hears to phrase “car ride” she runs to the car and jumps into the front seat. She likes the shotgun position because it is the best seat for reading the street signs and helping her foster family to navigate. She is working on her map reading skills.
Bailey is a good girl who doesn’t jump up on people and doesn’t beg at the table. She does have a bit too much interest in tasty food that is left on the counter or put into the garbage. Her foster mom uses a spray water bottle to correct her, and she learns quickly.
Bailey Boo was raised in the country where she lived happily until her family moved to a more urban setting. She was then surrendered to a shelter because all the outdoor activity caused her to bark excessively. Her foster home is back in the countryside and she does well there. She is always quiet in the house, but will need a rural forever home or one that is fairly secluded to prevent her from becoming too vocal outdoors. She doesn’t need a fenced yard if she is supervised.
Bailey was introduced gradually to the other dogs at her foster home and now gets along well with them. She is protective of her food and treats, however, and needs to be fed separately. Bailey was raised with children, but because of her tendency to grab at food and treats, she needs to be in a home that has children old enough to understand this. Her previous home said that she was not good with cats, though she has not been exposed to kitties in her foster home.
Bailey Boo is looking for a forever home in the countryside with a person or family that is looking for a laid back, loving companion. She would be fine with older children and other dogs that aren’t excessively active, or she would also do well as an only dog. She would be the ideal traveling companion for someone who drives a lot and wants to take along a buddy. Then, at the end of the day, our little brown-eyed girl will be happy to cuddle up for a belly rub and a snuggle.
