My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Millie. A 1 year old, 45 pound pup that has had a rough start. Homeless and scared, she was brought to an over crowded, high kill shelter where she was only given three months to get adopted. Her time was up and was scheduled to be euthanized. With only one day to spare, Lucci's House rescued her from her fate. She now lives with me in Butler, Indiana, until she can find her furever human(s).

She is as sweet as they come. When I first met her she was so timid, but after 24 hours her beautiful personality shined. Still being a pup she gets bursts of energy. She is a little torpedo. But she can also calm down and snuggle on the couch and watch TV.

She is potty trained, crate trained, not reactive to other dogs when we are out on walks. However, she does resource guard, but who can blame her after struggling at the shelter and being homeless. I am teaching her that she will never go hungry or thirsty again. She does great with men, women, and older children (since she is a puppy she is still learning her manners about jumping). Since she still resource guards it would probably be best if she was the only dog. She has not been tested with cats.

She is only 45lbs, such a small little pitty mix with silky black fur and the loveliest kisses. She so badly just wants to love someone and follow them everywhere. Can you be her person?

More about this rescue

We started out fighting for our baby boy, Lucci, who was killed due to Airport Animal Emergi-Center Clinic's breed prejudice. When he was killed, we make a promise that no bully would be left behind. Now we try to save as many bullies as we can!
