Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sir Liam
Sir Liam is Cocker Spaniel perfection. From his striking looks to his sweet demeanor, Liam is so deserving of the title “Sir.”
Backstory:
Liam was an owner surrender at animal control because his former family “did not have time for him.” He was cared for in that he was fed, but he did not have the love and attention that he deserves. He was quite shaken by being dropped off at a loud and frightening animal control facility, and he was very nervous from the experience. Thankfully, one of our stellar foster parents for Animal Saints stepped up to give dear Liam a place to catch his breath and recuperate while we find him an ideal family. He is now so calm, sweet, and is thriving from all of the attention he is now receiving!
We are giving Liam the second chance that he deserves, and it is imperative that his next family is committed to him for life. He deserves nothing less after what he’s endured. Liam is so ready to get settled into a new family routine and home.
Breed Notes:
Liam is approximately 3-4 years old and just over 20 pounds. He has the characteristics of a large breed dog but his petiteness is endearing and special.
Get to Know Sir Liam:
He is highly trainable and already knows how to sit and walk on a leash. His foster mother says that Liam is so intelligent, gentle, loving, and simply a joy to have around. She has a Saint Bernard in her family, and the two became fast friends. They now sleep near one another with paws touching.
Ideal Home:
Liam will need to be in a family that is home all of the time. Given the neglect in his past, he needs consistent companionship from his people right now. We believe this will calm over time with assurance from his new family and patience, but he needs to be in a family where someone works from home or is retired. This is crucial for a successful match.
Having another calm dog around has helped Liam settle in and give him confidence. With this in mind, we believe he would do extremely well in a home with other gentle dogs and thrives on such a connection.
Who will be fortunate enough to have this animal saint Sir Liam part of their family? We look forward to finding out!
