My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tara May, a precious 5 year old, 9 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Austin, TX. Only Texas residents will be considered.
Tara May (aka Tiramisu) has fully recovered from her spay surgery and dental and is sweeter and spunkier than ever! She is so much more confident and loves playing with toys (she especially likes to steal her foster brother's favorite toys) and will jump on the couch to snuggle with her foster mom.

When she first arrived at UYR she was absolutely terrified of people and would run away when we tried to pick her up. She will still sometimes run away but as often as not will sit and let us pick her up. The first few months in foster she was too scared to sleep on the bed with her foster family, but now she is the first one on the bed at bedtime. This sweetheart is still anxious when left alone, so she will need a furever family with plenty of patience and love to help her with her separation anxiety. She loves other dogs, so she is looking for a furever home with a fur sibling or two that she can play with.
