My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Becky was found as a stray in the summer of 2022 with her kittens before being brought to Réseau Secours Animal. She was placed in foster care with her kittens, but once they were weaned Becky was brought back to the shelter. Becky is a carrier of feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV).  For more information about FIV: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv  Despite this, she is in good health and can live a long and beautiful life. Becky took a long time to open up to us. The socialization team has worked hard and we now see Becky accepting pets. She now lets herself be stroked without any problem and even drools because she loves it so much! Becky is a tiny black cat, and it's hard to believe that she was once a mother herself! She gets on well with other cats, but couldn't live with children. She's interested in play and treats, so her family will have good tools to work with her! She's looking for a patient, loving family who will go at her pace.Becky is an adult cat so the adoption fees for him are $290. She is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. She is positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) but negative for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access, for the first month following adoption, to a 30 minutes video consultation with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.

Go meet their pets
