Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Venus is a lucky girl! She was attacked by a large dog and was unable to move. The “owner” brought her to the South LA Shelter because they could not provide the necessary vet care. I really don’t know if they even tried. :/. Anyway, a shelter volunteer witnessed the whole thing and when she overheard the shelter staff inform the woman that Venus would be euthanized because they did not have the resources to provide the vet care, the volunteer stepped in and took the dog.
Long story short(er)…first vet said they were not sure if they could save her. Second vet was able to stabilize her and she made a full recovery.
She’s amazing! Great with EVERYONE! And she’s not even holding a grudge against any large dogs she meets.
She would be fine as an only dog or part of a pack. Great in the car, on leash, no food aggression, shares her bed and toys with the other dogs. We’re grateful she survived and that we are able to give her a second chance at a better life.
