My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, friends! My name is Gemma, and I`m a beautiful orange and white female tabby girl, just under five years in age! This is not my first time being at the shelter---but it`s through no fault of my own that I`m here again. You see, I was first surrendered in 2023 because my person couldn`t afford to care for me. And then I got adopted, but recently returned almost two years later. I`m not sure why I`m here again, but I need to find a loving, FOREVER home, and preferrable a calm one with no small kids. I`m a little shy, but I enjoy attention and love getting gentle pets from you. I came in with some injuries to my face, neck, and left eye, but I`m not sure exactly what happened to me. I may have been bullied by another cat in my household. Despite what I`ve been through, I`m a happy cat who just hasn`t found the right home. I`m hoping that you will give me the purr-fect home! I would love to have some toys and treats, and my comfy bed will go with me. I`ve lived indoors my whole life, and must remain an indoor kitty to keep me safe. I`ve already been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, so I`m ready to go. If you`re interested in adopting me, I would really like to meet you today! I hope to see you soon!

More about this shelter

Caddo Parish Animal Services is an open-admission shelter meaning no homeless animal is turned away. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and when that is not possible, find a new home for them, provided that they are healthy and not aggressive.
