My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoe is eligible for the Seniors for Seniors program and Foster To Adopt.

Zoe needs a special adopter. Once she trusts her owner she is a lovely lap cat that is fun and entertaining. However, earning Zoe's trust will take an experienced cat person. She doesn't like change and has some anxieties which she then tries to control the situation by intimidating her human. Yes she is a bit of a Diva but once you crack her code, you get rewarded with just a wonderful cat that likes to be the center of attention, will greet your guests, and is very affectionate.

She loves to sit on a lap, catching a snooze while the humans watch TV or surf the 'net. She wants to be near her humans, but if they are busy, she loves to curl up on a smooth comfy blanket in the sun
.
She's a great cat for those who work from home, as she will leave you alone for most of the day, but like any good co-worker, she'll pop her head in your office and remind you that it's time to go get lunch, or play a quick game of chase.
Every night, without fail, Zoe goes around the house, gathering up her stuffed animals, brings them to the bedroom and meows loudly to tell everyone it is bedtime. She sleeps through the night and doesn't bother her humans until breakfast time.

Zoe is still very playful and likes to interact with her human. She has a strong hunting instinct and so needs toys and playtime to get those the zoomies out . She loves to watch the birds and gets all animated.

The ideal home would have no other pets and have someone that is not gone for long periods of time. Someone that has time to interact and be her best friend.

More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
