Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Phelix is being fostered in PA.
Phelix is a precious little yorkie mix boy who weighs just under 12 pounds. He is a healthy boy who had a great blood workup, exam and has no apparent health issues other than coming to BDRA with a nasty infection in both eyes. He is currently on antibiotic cream for the infection and both eyes are clearing up nicely. He recently had a dental and only needed 9 teeth removed and recovered nicely from that. He has some nice vision but has a lot of trouble seeing things in the lower half of his vision field. He makes it outside and back in by himself. He also is very indifferent around kitties. He has the cutest little muffled bark that he only uses at meal times when he can smell the food. Phelix will be groomed on June 21st. He tolerated his bath very well.
Phelix loves his foster mom and follows her everywhere. He is a unique little guy who loves human companionship and being held in the car and being held if his foster mom is standing or walking around, but he does not seem the least bit interested in sitting on her lap or even on the chair with her.
He loves exploring his very secure, fenced yard and manages a couple steps ok. He walks pretty well on a leash and loves human company, greeting his foster mom each time she returns home. He appears to be completely potty trained but has not indicated a need to go outside so he is just taken out regularly.
Phelix gets along with people of all ages, cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. He is not crazy about his younger foster brother trying to play with him and will bark to tell him to go away but he has never been aggressive toward another animal or person to this point.
This sweet little man is very ready to settle into his forever home and is very excited to meet his new family.
BDRA has voted against electrical fencing effective immediately.
