My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nyx is a highly engaged, affectionate female brown tabby who loves to go on inside adventures with her human. She loves everything from belly rubs to gentle headbutts, lots of wand and toy mouse play, and following you along to explore your world as you go about your daily life. An ever present companion, she cherishes chin scritches, inclusion, and treats. Nyx loves to explore her world and the more varying heights you have available to her, the better. She is constantly perched on cat trees, sofa backs, chest of drawers, anywhere she can safely get an expanded view of her world. She is delightfully curious and wants to be in the middle of everything you do! She does great on a mix of wet and dry foods and is especially fond of temptations and churu treats with lots of fresh, cold water. She`ll come join you at the faucet and ask for a drink so we keep little ramekins around as it`s become a bonding experience with her.

Nyx has a wonderful demeanor and seems to have a never ending tolerance for pets and play. Would be ideal for younger children as she has wonderful communication skills (body language and tail talk) and not easily overstimulated. She loves to be engaged at her level on the floor and will flip, chase wands, and see you as a hunting partner in all her escapades. She is quite stealthy and deftly moves around the home climbing approved areas with ease never knocking down knick knacks or decorations.

Her favorite toys are feather wands, stuffed mice, and cardboard toilet paper rolls. She is also really good about using her favorite scratching posts and leaves all your furniture alone. She has purrfect litter box manners and a consistent 7&7 mealtime. When you`re busy, she enjoys dedicated cat beds, blankets, and window time in the sun.

Important facts about Nyx: she is a young adult cat with good energy and desire for engagement. Her ideal family will be able to provide consistent play and enrichment opportunities throughout the day. *She has met and engaged well with other humans whilst in our care (not other cats/dogs/children) and temperament suggests she would thrive in most settings where she has space to explore and a territory of her own. Our team is happy to discuss these topics during your appointment.*

If you are interested in adopting Nyx, please email khhodge@gmail.com to set up a virtual meet and greet with the pet`s foster parent. You should receive a reply in 24-48 hours.
