My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I am a shy but lovable black cat with mild/moderate CH. My CH will not get worse or better, and it does not affect my lifespan or health. I can jump onto the bed, couch, cat tree, and climb stairs without any issues but you will notice that I like to walk alongside walls and furniture to help keep my balance.

More about my personality: I love other cats and enjoy napping in hidey-holes around the house or under the bed. It may take me a couple of months to warm up, but when I do, I purr loudly and appreciate full-body pets from the bridge of my nose to the tip of my tail! I also enjoy hanging out in the same room as you, or in the hallway where I can watch you and the rest of the house. My foster mom thinks that with the right family, I will open up even more.

I turn one year old in June and am hoping to meet my fur-ever family soon. Are you my purr-fect family?

Slinky's adoption fee is $90. Please complete an online adoption application at petpromise.org/adoption-application if you are interested in adopting Slinky.

We do our best to ensure that all of the PetPromise pets and their new owners are the perfect match, so the adoption process includes a mandatory home visit; for that reason, adoptions outside Franklin County, Ohio and contiguous counties may not be possible.

PETPROMISE DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. Our pets are housed in volunteer foster homes while awaiting adoption.

PETPROMISE HAS NO PAID STAFF. The people processing applications are volunteers with full-time jobs and families, so it may be several days before you receive a response to your application.
