Rescue Story
Cheetah was found with 1,600 other dogs, being kept by an animal hoarder in South Korea. Our partner, Beagle Rescue Network, saved him along with all the other dogs (and had the animal hoarder shutdown).
About Him/Her
Cheetah is a sort of Yorkshire and schnauzer sort of mix. Cheetah is a little dog with a big personality. That’s why we call him “Little Big Man”. He’s very social with other dogs. He wants to meet every dog he sees on his walks. Even though he’s small, he’s fearless (he might think he’s a big dog). When he gets excited, he likes to zoom around the house. And he loves to eat!
During the day, Cheetah is energetic, but he can also be left alone for awhile. But by evening, he like to cuddle up on the couch and rest. Although he gets sad and cries just a little when his family leaves, overall he’s very independent and well-behaved. He’s also potty trained.
You wouldn’t know Cheetah is a rescue dog except for being sensitive to touch during the day. For example, when you’re putting his harness on to go for a walk, there’s a random chance he suddenly runs away from you. It’s a little odd because he’s fine most of the time, and by evening he wants to cuddle up next to us on the couch, so he’s only sensitive to touch at seemingly random times. We suspect this minor quirk will disappear quickly at his forever home because, all in all, he’s an amazing big little guy.
The adopter's family must be very careful to secure the house because he can be an escape artist. He doesn’t tend to run away or bolt out the door, but he’s curious, clever and skilled and cannot be underestimated until he forms a strong bond with his new family. And that’ll probably happen quickly because he’s really happy and brave. He also can jump high.
