Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
We just saved her from PG shelter and are still getting to know her.
From shelter volunteers:
Sadie is a little timid in her kennel but calm and easy too leash up. She often is the last dog that I walk of the day, just because her kennel is in the “small dog room”, which not where most of the pitbulls live. She is a small dog though, and a puppy at that, and deserves a walk in the daylight. I’ll make a point of trying to get her out earlier in the day this week. Sadie pulls hard on the leash as we head outside and I think it’s because she’s house trained, she seems to use the bathroom pretty consistently right away when she gets outside. After using the bathroom, we head to the big run in the field where she gets a chance to stretch her legs and run. She does a few zooms, puppy-style, but then settles quickly and inspects the agility run, focuses on the smells, and give me kisses and attention. She doesn’t seem like a high-energy dog, but rather a medium energy one that benefits from a change in scenery, and can engage in her new environment while also paying attention to her handler.
Sadie knows “sit” and is working on “wait”, “come” and “paws up”. She is very smart and very willing to learn! She also is very affectionate, happily giving me kisses and snuggles and will gently take treats. She slightly jumpy initially but never mouthy and settles down the longer she’s out of her kennel. She will do well in a family that is willing to continue her basic training and who will return the affection that she readily gives.
