Here is an update on Callie from her foster mom:

“We have been in classes for 2 weeks now. We are in beginner’s agility with about 10 other dogs. There are 4 boxers from the same breeder in that class. When we walked in everyone stared at us and I couldn't figure out why until it dawned on me that they were staring at her "utters" which are still nearly dragging on the ground. The breeder boxers were scared and wouldn't try the balance beam or the tunnels so I was concerned that my Callie would not try the equipment since 4 weeks ago she wouldn't go through a doorway. When it came Callie's turn she walked up and happily did everything that was asked of her. The instructor commented on how good she was. Later in class, 2 of the big breeder boxers snarled at her and when I said "watch" she turned in a sit and ignored them! Our little rescue with her utters dragging out did the breeder dogs...and I believe she knows it. She has become a confident girl. She no longer runs when she sees the leash. She is as good walking off leash as she is on. She plays wonderfully with our male...I can't believe what he puts up with from her! We also haven't had an accident in the house in 6 days. She no longer sleeps curled in a ball like a scared dog but now stretches out and sleeps with me on the couch.”
