Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tucker
3 years old, 65 lbs
Male Red Merle
Fostered in Charlotte, NC - A meet and greet is required.
Tucker is a tall, handsome red merle Aussie that loves people, affection, and playing with toys! Tucker is great with people and good with submissive dogs, however Tucker has shown a little aggression toward another assertive male dog around food. Tucker has not shown any aggression with people and he seems to do well with more submissive dogs, and enjoys playing chase with our submissive female dog.
Tucker has great manners in the house- he has not had a single accident in the house, is crate trained and only barks or jumps occasionally. When first put in the crate, Tucker will whine a couple times but then settles quickly and now happily goes into the crate because he knows he gets kibble or treats. Tucker is medium energy, so he typically does well with long walks and could even be a good running partner or hiking partner! Tucker does pull a bit on leash, but he is learning to heel quickly and now looks to people for guidance and has great recall! Tucker does fantastic on car rides because he settles quickly and enjoys looking out the window and napping.
Tucker likes to “chuff” and bark very softly when he is trying to get your attention and show you what he wants - typically either a toy or food and we love seeing his goofy, fun-loving personality.
Tucker would do best in a home with a fenced yard of his own and either as an only dog or another submissive dog. Tucker is medium energy and would do best with an active individual or family, preferably kids over 5 years old since he can be a little pushy when seeking pets and he doesn’t realize he’s not lap dog size.
