My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*WE ARE NOT A SHELTER - WE'RE A RESCUE!* All of our pets live in foster homes, so you must submit an application on our website if interested. Thanks!

Tito was found starving out in a rural Oklahoma town. Lucky for him, a kind lady took him in and attempted to find owners, but is became clear he was dumped. Now he's in our rescue and thriving! He's great with other dogs, mastering house manners and just sweet as sugar. ADOPT HIM!

His $175 adoption fee includes neuter, age appropriate vaccines, deworming and microchip.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for pets in rural Oklahoma animal shelters through adoption events and fundraisers. We're focused on the Newcastle animal shelter since that's where we're based, but we also pull from other rural shelters when we can. We are a foster-based program, meaning that all of our dogs live in private foster homes NOT a facility. This gives them better socialization skills, which makes them a more well-adjusted pet. Also, the foster parent is able to learn about the pet’s personality, likes, and dislikes so that he can be better matched to the right forever home. We always need great foster families, so if you're interested in learning more on becoming one please visit our website to apply: www.shelterfriends.org
