Meet Onyx
Onyx is a sweet boy, who is estimated to be about 6-8 years old. He was most likely abandoned by his old family as he was begging for human help on the streets. He is a total lover. Once we picked him up - he opened his big heart to us. He loves human attention and to know that he has a warm bed and a meal. Onyx was just neutered, he uses his litter box and happy to eat both wet and dry food. He likes to play, and naps away most of the time. He is happy to receive all types of pets and opens up his belly for rubs. Loves to be brushed and to cuddle up next to you.
His favorite toy so far are the strings of my hood, so any string on a stick would work for him. He also loves chasing the mouse with a bell at its tail.
He might be a little shy in the beginning - but once you offer him a treat - he will be totally yours. He likes to hide away when no one is around, but happily comes out of hiding for the pets to be given. Does not demand attention, but definitely likes when he is noticed. If he does talk - he uses a very soft kind voice and you can barely notice him. He can be easily left alone in the room if needed.
Onyx was definitely fending for himself while living the street life, he will protect his food from other cats, but if they don't touch him, or his food, he really does not care much about them.
Onyx is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas and ticks. He is a very chill cat if you don't want zoomies and someone who demands attention all the time.
All our kitties are fostered with our volunteers at Foster Homes in the Bay Area. Our animals are available for meet & greet By APPOINTMENTS ONLY.
