***COURTESY POST FOR THE GOOD SAMARITAN WHO FOUND DUTCH & NEEDS HELP REHOMING***
Dutch in a nutshell -- Approx 2y female Cattle dog mix. Decent leash etiquette, some separation anxiety. Very people-oriented but wary of strangers. Recommend single pet household. Absolutely no Benadryl (diphenhydramine) - had an anaphylactic reaction to it and had to be hospitalized for a day. No cats. Does well with humans after initial shyness. Enjoys food puzzles and has big herding breed energy!
From Dutch herself:
Hello! My name is Duchess, but my friends call me Dutch! I'm looking for my furever family. Cherian found me on the streets where other dogs most likely picked on me, so I learned to not trust too msny dogs, but I would love to be your best friend!
I do my job and chase cats, so no cats for me!
I'm still a little nervous with new people, but once I know that you're safe, I will give you all the kisses, tail wags, and cuddles you could ever want! I'll want to be with you all the time!
We could go on the best adventures! I'm very energetic and thrive on regular exercise and adventure. You could even give me a job! I'm told I'm a 'herding breed' which means that I love to go go go! My foster mom makes sure I get in at least 3 miles a day, but I'd be happy with more!
I'm also told sometimes I can be a handful. I'm still learning things like how to walk on a leash and handle other dogs in my space, but I really want to be the best girl! If you can be patient with me, I promise to be your very bestest friend!
