Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rose is a gentle and affectionate dog who would make a wonderful addition to any family. She is quiet and well-mannered. Rose is a well-rounded dog with a love for both relaxation and play, depending on the occasion. She enjoys a good game of fetch and a nice walk in the park, and is always ready to curl up on the couch with you. Rose's calm demeanor makes her the ideal companion for retirees looking for a new friend. Rose would do best in a home without any other dogs or cats. If you believe that you could provide a loving home for Rose, we encourage you to come and meet her today!
Rose has lived in the kennel environment for six years and is looking forward to someone giving her a chance. She is a wonderful senior girl who has been at Indigo's Rescue Ranch and Sanctuary since November 2018. Poor Rose was left behind when her previous owners in Seymour, Indiana moved. Thank goodness, very kind neighbors fed Rose and eventually called our rescue asking if we could take her. Despite our efforts to find Rose a home, she has been overlooked because of her age and medical condition -- she has congestive heart disease that requires two daily medications Lasix and Benzodiazepine. These are very inexpensive drugs, but they must be given daily for the rest of her life. You'd never know Rose has this heart condition, because when left out of her kennel, she loves to run in our play yard and is very attentive and loves affection.

More about this rescue
Indigos Rescue Ranch and Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide care, shelter, fostering opportunities and adoptive homes for Jackson County’s homeless dogs until such time as we can find them a suitable “forever home.” Regardless of breed, size or age, we accept dogs into our shelter and ensure they have safe and happy lives while we seek suitable homes for them. We believe so strongly in our mission, that where hard to place dogs are concerned (e.g., older, disabled or special needs dogs), Indigo’s becomes their forever home so they may live out their lives with the love, care, and attention they deserve.
