Leo is an silly playful male Border Collie mix that was born in April 2017. He loves to run, go on car rides and cuddle. He enjoys being with people and is a good fit for older children. Leo is already housebroken and would enjoy having a fenced in backyard. A privacy fence would be best. Leo prefers the company of big dogs over little ones. If you own another dog, we can do a meet and greet to see if they are compatible. Kitties, unfortunately, are not a good fit. Due to a genetic skin disorder, Leo must take medication every other day. For a wonderful dog like Leo, it is a small price to pay. Leo is anxious to have a family of his own. Will that be you?To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Additional adoption info
Tour/Adoption Hours:
Fridays: 3pm – 5pm
Saturdays: 11am – 2pm
During adoption hours we have volunteers available to show dogs and cats to the public. For safety/insurance reasons we can only allow those 12 years or older to go into the dog kennel wing of the shelter. We ask all visitors not to stick their fingers/hands into the dog kennels. Our adoptable dogs and cats are viewable through our website. Everyone interested in applying for a dog or cat must submit an application through our website. We receive multiple applications for each animal. Applications for particular animals are based on best fit for each animal based on each animal’s behaviors and needs. An application not being selected for a particular animal does not necessarily mean the application was denied, but just that another application was approved.
