My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lil Bit might have short legs, but he’s got a big heart (and ears!) This low riding nugget is a concentrated bundle of cute, sweet, playful, & smart, and is ready to find a lap to call his own!

Estimated to be around 6 months old, Lil Bit was found (5/27) alongside a rural County Road. He was found without a collar or microchip, and attempts to locate an owner have been unsuccessful. The Good Samaritan who found Lil Bit is graciously fostering & funding his veterinary care as we look for his forever family.

This friendly pup loves tiny humans, & has already made several new doggy friends in his foster home. However his favorite playmate & best friend is the family’s kitten! Lil Bit has great recall, is learning his manners, quickly caught on to potty-training, and sleeps soundly throughout the night in a crate.

While he received a clean bill of health during his wellness exam, Lil Bit does have a minor rear-leg injury that is being treated by a local veterinarian. The vet has prescribed rest & anti-inflammatory pain medication, and believes this will appropriately & adequately treat the injury. Lil Bit is also scheduled to be neutered, has already received his first round of vaccinations, been microchipped, treated for internal parasites, and is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
