My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're looking to add a cat to your family, this sweet brown tabby is your man. George is the whole package -- not just beauty, but brains to boot! A very intelligent boy, he understands everything and wants to know everything -- the ultimate curious cat. He especially likes opening doors and cabinets to find out what's inside. George likes to survey the world from an elevated perch, but he'll come down right away for pets (which he adores) or play. He also loves to curl up at the bottom of the bed at night and sleep on your feet. He has the cutest little silent "Meow" when he wants you to come play or feed him. George is a mature guy who hails from Midwood and lived with his rescuer from kittenhood; she adored him and didn't want to part with him, but she couldn't care for him any longer. Now George can finally have the family he deserves. He's so very eager for a home and a bed to cuddle in!

George would be okay as a single cat, but he'd also be fine sharing his home with another calm, friendly cat. He loves lots of attention! Georgie is neutered, has all his shots, and is negative for FIV/FeLV. If you'd like to meet our Georgie, please submit an application at www.brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms and designate Belinda as the rescuer. Contact Belinda with questions, at belinda@brooklynanimalaction.org.

Thank you for your interest in a rescued kitty! All donations go directly to rescuing the next sweetie.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.
