My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cher acts a lot more like a house pet than a hunting dog, although she sounds impresssive when she bays. She loves to hang around with people. House and crate trained, good companion. Age about 3 years, weight 61 pounds. Spayed, current on shots, Lyme and heartworm tested. Fee $200. Apply at morganspot.org.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

SPOT has an adoption application at morganspot.org. It asks for a vet reference and takes a day or less to be approved. We also have an adoption contract in which the adopter agrees to provide good care, not sell the pet, and return it to SPOT if there are problems.

Go meet their pets

SPOT attends Mingle With Our Mutts at the Franklin County shelter in Columbus, Ohio, every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. We host a Mutt Strutt on the Saturday after Mothers Day in May, a free event to promote spay/neuter and showcase dogs. All our pets are in foster care and we are very flexible about meeting arrangements.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to reduce the numbers for unwanted pets in Morgan County. We rescue, foster, and adopt out dogs, cats, and horses. We provide low-cost or free spay/neuter services for pets of low-income owners and have an emergency pet food pantry for those in need.
We do out-of-state adoptions and recommend RescueRidersTransport for long trips.
