My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dusky, the loving black beauty, was born in January 2023 and tips the scales at nearly 50 lbs. This amiable pup enjoys frolicking with her canine friends. She adores being around people and delights in joining them for extensive walks to discover the world side by side. Her athletic prowess is undeniable, making her an excellent candidate for agility training. Dusky is fond of water and dives into her doggy pool with enthusiasm during the warmer days. With her boundless energy, she's the perfect playmate or jogging partner for any family. Brimming with affection, Dusky is on the lookout for a forever home where she will be cherished.

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
