Buttercup has unfortunately found herself back with us. To no fault of her own!
Buttercup was adopted from us a while back. She was a young, energetic and very social girl her first time being with us. She originally tested well with dogs and loved everyone she met!
Unfortunately she found herself in a very unfortunate situation. To no fault of her previous owner, She got attacked by another dog and got the worst of it. Her physical wounds are healing well, but her trust in other dogs was destroyed. Her owner tried everything they could to keep her and keep her safe, but due to unchangeable circumstances she was living in a very unsafe situation for her. Her owner made the decision to bring her back to us in hopes that we can find her a better situation so she can thrive again!
Buttercup is still a very sweet and energetic girl but now she’s got some trust issues when it comes to dogs. She’s great with people, but will need a home with no other dogs or an experienced foster who can keep her separated from other dogs. We’re hoping we can find her a rescue who can provide her with the security she needs! And who knows… maybe with the right foster she can learn to trust other dogs again one day.
