This stunning girl is named Ivory She LOVES other dogs and has a few friends at the rescue that she has playdates with. She was great during her assessment and intake process, very gentle and patient with our staff. She is a very affectionate dog and will simply melt into whoever she is with. She enjoys people of all ages and can often be found walking around Graeagle meeting new people with her best volunteer friend, Helen. She has a wonderful time with our staff and volunteers and we're looking forward to seeing her in a great home! Ivory will fit in well with a pack of playful dogs. She recently went to an adoption event in Reno where new dogs and people were able to approach her and she welcomed them with so much grace and kindness. She gave gentle kisses and rolled over for belly rubs any chance she got. Please feel welcome to fill out an online application at highsierraanimalrescue.org and mention "Ivory" if you'd like to meet this beautiful lady! All HSAR dogs are up to date on age appropriate shots, spayed/neutered, heart worm tested, given heart worm preventive during their stay with us, and micro-chipped.
Ivory's adoption has been sponsored thanks to a caring supporter! Her adopter will not need to pay an adoption fee! Fencing, a note from our Volunteer Trainer: She'll do fine with a yard that has a 6 ft wooden fence or higher. I do recommend that an adopter be informed to make the backyard a little bit of heaven: shelter, water, nice bed, feed her meals there, toys-enough to rotate to keep it fresh, people spending time out there. Oh, and room for zoomies! Ivory can clear a 6 foot fence to be close to her people or dog friends. Once out of the fencing she has historically gone to our front door to be let inside, she truly just wants to be with those she deems family. We recommend a 6 foot wooden fence or an active family who will get her moving outside while leashed. Weight: 45 pounds Other dogs: Yes Cats: No Kids: Yes, great with children
Impeccable manners. Ivory is very tuned into her person and will sit patiently for treats and take treats gently. She no longer jumps on people or children with the help of our staff and volunteer training. She's ready to go home.
