Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
01-05-06 UPDATE....Shasta goes in for her heartworm treatment this week.
Shasta's owners gave her up to the Chilton County humane society because they no longer wanted her. We find that hard to understand. She got the attention of a shelter volunteer by being so good, quiet and sweet.
Shasta is now in better hands considering her previous owners didn't put her on monthly heartworm preventative. She is heartworm positive and will be undergoing the risky treatment to irradicate the worms from her body very soon. Shasta's temperament evaluation was delayed due to spay surgery and heartworm treatment. More will be posted on her as we learn about her.
She should be available for adoption in February 2006.
Please Note: We are not a shelter. Our rescued dogs are kept in foster homes. We show pets to potential adopters by appointment only.
